Family Trip : American Samoa : Part 1
My husband had to work in American Samoa this past week so we tagged along. We had never really heard anything aboout traveling to Samoa, but I knew it would be worth an adventure. We brought our own snorkel gear and rented a car for two days. We stopped at Fatu aka Flower Pot Rock and enjoyed low tide. There was lots to see underwater and the shallow sandy area was perfect for the boys. We drove as far West as we could that day. There were many sea side villages we drove through, but not too many people enjoying the ocean. There was lots of surf and so many spectacular views. Samoa is one hour behind Hawaii and about 100 years behind the rest of the world (except for the 3 McDonalds… which we did not visit). We stayed at the Tradewinds Hotel and enjoyed the bats in the evenings while swimming in the 25 meter pool.
