Aloha Thursday

With tomorrow being Good Friday, I proclaim today to be Aloha Thursday.  Today I plan an adventure for tomorrow.  There are so many things I want to do with my boys on free days off. The beach is always high on my list, but lately we have been hitting skate parks instead.  The boys also asked to go to the zoo to see the new elephant exhibit, and I have been talking about taking them to climb Koko Head, but I rather take them to the Honolulu Academy of Arts to see the giant twig sculptures.  What influences my choice most is cost and behavior.  For tomorrow, I plan to be ambitious by hitting 2 excursion spots and drop off film at the lab, all while keeping my 4 boys fed with healthy snacks making sure we have all of our skateboards, towels, shoes, slippers, helmets, sunscreen, cooler, water bottles, and toys.  Just writing this out is daunting… Luckily, I have very helpful boys and our adventures are very bonding.

Yesterday, after my hubby got home from work, I took my two older boys to the skate park and i walked for an hour.  It was nice to get out of the house and enjoy the late afternoon sky.  I am still recovering from my broken arm, but my legs aren’t broken. ;)  I didn’t walk very far or very fast, but at least I was out there.

Today, I have Occupational Therapy.  I really like having someone who really understands my injury.  My therapist is encouraging and really helping me with gaining mobility in my arm and wrist.

Whatever we choose to do tomorrow, the goal is to have fun, go somewhere new, and maybe even learn something along the way.
